Zara is a Senior Expert in Gender Based Violence, Anti-Racism, communications, and project management professional within international development and has over 15 years’ experience with a proven track record of managing, coordinating, and increasing public awareness to technical projects in UK, USA, Canada, East & West Africa. Excellent track record of building partnerships with the Government officials, academia and NGOs and experience with Private Sector Development. She is also a creative, results-driven public relations director that leads the FDR team and brand to new heights. She is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of various publicity campaigns, ensuring that our brand image remains consistent and positive while expanding it to a wider audience. Her role focuses on the latest marketing trends and technologies and ensures the effective branding of FDR as a product is effectively represented to the public. Zara also acts as FDR Senior Expert in GBV and Anti-racism and was instrumental in GBV work in Sierra Leone during Ebola Response 2014-2016 and in the gender and anti-racism baseline assessment for the City of Ottawa in Canada.
